Illustration Friday - Escape
This is my second entry for Illustration Friday. It seemed like I needed to illustrate this word. I feel like the past week my brain has been running a serious marathon. I seriously want to reach deep within myself and let out a huge scream. Hopefully by the time I have released ever bit of frustration that is cooped up inside my soul; I can find a sense of peace. I would love to escape to an island retreat - just to watch the sunset. There is something about watching the sun set with the calm breeze of the ocean water. It melts everything away. Suddenly that moment becomes the most important minute - salvation- peace- "a great escape".

Depth-
Can' t help still thinking about the tragedy of Katrina and the victims left behind. Children - Adults on a new venture of life. Some have but a glimpse of which way to go and some have no clue. My prayers still go out to those effected by this storm.
This illustration is my depiction of depth- simply put it- it 's "the pool of life" . The long platform is the long walk these evacuees took only to find out that they had to take the deepest plunge of their lives- change.
