Illustration Friday - Imagine

Lord, dismiss us with thy blessing,

Hope, and comfort from above;

Let us each, thy peace possessing,

Triumph in redeeming love.

-Robert Hawker

I have been one busy bee. Completing caricature orders and trying to squeeze out some Holiday cakes and cookies, I didnt think I would make it this week. But, I did- With this week's Illustration Friday I wanted to reflect that whatever we stand for on this earth- It doesnt matter what religion, color, etc., . Peace and Blessings to all of us! May this Holiday bring us all warmth and joy! and a very sincere Thank You to all who have stopped by my blog- leaving wonderful comments! I'm just glad to be drawing again!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Surprise #2- Illustration Friday

I have completed my X-mas Cards -Thank Goodness! ... and I thought I would post a sneak preview.

Illustration Friday - Surprise
We'll my original idea was to create a version of Marilyn Monroe popping out of a cake with the subtitle " Surprise - Mr. President!" But, I noticed we had a lot of cake popping entries, so I decided to do something different.

Illustration Friday - Blue

The Blue Depot - "where you leave your puddles behind"

Originally I began working on a sketch of Billie Holiday - "The Lady Sings The Blues", but like everything else this week nothing seemed to come out right. I felt like giving up and passing on this weeks entry. But, something inside me kept nagging to participate. I can totally relate to this character this week at the Blue Depot. I am currently trying to leave my puddles behind and try to regroup myself- It's been a very hard week. I'm looking forward to some sunshine!
