Illustration Friday - DanceWhere do I begin. Last weeks theme was jungle and I was a total blank. Although my life felt like a jungle I had no creative ideas. Sorry! We have finally SOLD our home!!!!! We have been spending much needed time packing, and clearing out the clutter. So if you guys dont see me in a few weeks you'll know it's for a good reason! We should be settled in a few more weeks. Until then, the studio is being packed up and shall resume working in a couple more weeks. For now, I created this drawing of a dance using the colors of the Haitian flag. Enjoy and see you soon!

Packing and moving can be all consuming. No wonder you had no inspiration....will you be staying in the Garden State? I love this illustration ~ these ladies are so elegant and graceful. Nice touch making it the Haitian flag colors! Best of luck in your new home!
love the elongated forms of the figures sorta like i think el greco (never was good at art history) good luck in ur new home and studio. i know the feeling of having to pack it all up and move elsewhere a few times.

Hey, I know the dreadful process of moving. It is a very tiring job, more so when you have kids.
Anyway, good that you took time to draw. Hope it is an act of relaxation for you. :) Take your time. Draw when you feel like it.
I have been having an artist's block lately too. Glad you like my sketches for the week. Will post more on the theme in a couple of days. :)

This has been a hard year on us artistic types, it seems everyone is overwhelmed and taking a break. How did your move go? You left a good (love it) illo to hold your place untill you get back to us. Come over and visit me when you get to the place you have some time... miss you!!!
